Warm Up Your Cold Saturday Mornings with an Indian Royal Banquet

Four menus over four weeks include all the popular Indian meat curries.

Menu 1:
Butter Chicken
Onion fritters
Layered bread- Paratha style 1

Menu 2:
Lamb Vindaloo
Potato fritters
Roti bread- wheat flour

Menu 3:
Chicken Tikka Masala
Coriander fritters
Layered flatbread- Paratha style 2

Menu 4:
Lamb Rogan Josh
Cauliflower Fritters
Roti bread- wholemeal flour

Plan for the day:  Arrive at 10.15 am with your prepared ingredients. Watch the demonstration then have a go with rolling & cooking your own roti & onion fritters.

Then watch the demonstration for the main dish and follow step by step instructions and cook your own.

Clean up while your dish is simmering  and sit down to taste the tutor’s cooking.

Finally, take the day’s recipe , get your shopping list for the next session and take home the food/curry that you have cooked.

PLEASE NOTE:

There will be dairy products, nuts, wheat and other ingredients that some people may be allergic to, so, please take a look at the dishes and check with Rima  021 0841 9955 if in doubt.

Dates: 4 Saturdays- 25th May, 1st June, 8th June, 15th June 2019
Time:  10.30 am to 12.30 noon.
Venue:  Mount Maunganui College

Fee:  $200.00 for the 4 days. One day sessions may be possible at a cost of $55, if space is available. Contact Rima to discuss this.
The fee includes the venue hire, demonstrations, sample/tastings, recipe print-outs plus all the spices, oil & salt for your cooking.
You bring the meat, produce and other ingredients- onions, coriander and other herbs when/if needed as per the recipe shopping list.  You will receive the shopping list for day one on confirmation of payment.
