Andrea’s flaxweaving workshop
2020 has been hectic and full of unplanned events. Why not plan the new year 2021 by learning this very relaxing craft.
I found weaving very therapeutic, when my children were young and I needed some time out for me. It’s a very practical skill to have and very sociable, as I learned at a local marae in Hokianga in Whirinaki.
In this small wananga we will make a kete for your vegetable ( onions, potatoes..). If you want to make them huge afterwards, you could make them into washing baskets, or toy baskets for your children. We will work outside under a big tree on a mat , or inside my barn if it rains.
Come with an open mind and a big smile. The only tools you’ll need are your hands and kind thoughts about yourself. No weaving experience needed but great if you already worked with it.
Please let me know if you have special dietary needs, I will make us a snack with Hone’s Rongoa and Kombucha.
Booking is essential as we have limited numbers for this workshop.
Come along and learn how to brew your very own healthy gut friendly tonic!! Especially important now in these times of Covid-19 to assure the best Immunity and wellbeing.
Your health will thank you and give you vitality in return.
Spice up your life with the science of Kombucha and it’s many uses.
Learn how to utilise seasonal fruit and add them to your second fermentation, creating an additional twist, using Rongoa Maori and herbs from your garden.
In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to make kombucha step by step, in a practical non rushed manner.
A great way to connect with like minded people and it’s fun to attend with a friend to share the journey.
If you are a group op people wanting me to hold a workshop at your place, let me know. I am flexible and able to travel ( minimum of 6 people, host will attend free of charge)
PS: We will have frozen plums, brewed Kombucha and crafts to buy in my mobile shop on the day of the event. You are able to pay for these with cash or online payments accepted.
