The Garden Circle usually meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month.

Visitors are most welcome.

Activities include regular guest speakers and competitions for best blooms. The programme for the first half of the year is:

Community Education

Guest Speaker:  Professor Al Gillespie

Topic: The challenge of 2021 : New Zealand in an increasingly complex world. 

Professor Alexander Gillespie obtained his LLB and LLM degrees with Honours from The University of Auckland. He did his PhD at Nottingham and post-doctoral studies at Colombia University in New York City. His areas of scholarship pertain to international and comparative environmental law; the laws of war; civil liberties; and a number of pressing issues of social concern.

Tauranga Continuing Education Group aims to provide older people with an opportunity to listen to prominent New Zealanders discussing topics of interest.  Many of the speakers come from the University of Waikato and others from business and local organisations.

The group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. All lectures commence at 10am.
A charge of $5 is made to cover expenses.
