This is an inspiring and productive course for all levels of experience. A fun time set in a chilled out relaxed and creative environment. Get stuck in and learn something new each week and then build on it the next week. This course will be based on traditional painting techniques with some contemporary approaches applied to the genre.
As well as covering a lot of ground, equally the focus will be on developing a solid understanding of colour theory, tonal relationships, proportion, and composition. Progressing to use these ideas to develop believable 3d forms on a 2d surface.
The ideas covered can be applied to all painting mediums (oil and acrylic) and brief discussions can be explored. Damien is an exceptional and experienced tutor that comes to us from Auckland where he has been a part of the Browne School of Art.
