Tauranga’s city centre is jam packed with an array of public artworks. From tidal stairs, to famous pooches, and some of the best street art in the country. Grab the kids, your best friend or nana, it’s time to discover some of the stories and meanings behind the art in the city!
CITY ART WALK app is a self-guided tour of 20 public artworks. Download the free mobile app beforehand, or at any of the artworks via an on-site QR code. Each entry in the app gives an insight into the artwork and the artist who created it.
Designed for all ages, there’s even fun questions for kids. Love paper? Pick-up a postcard map from i-site or locations around the city centre.
Experience as you encounter works, or do the 1 hour tour (2-3 hours with shopping, coffee and lunch). The tour is free of charge.
