Bush Skills for Women – 2 Day Course

Anja Morris offers  2 Day Bush Skills for Women Courses in the Whakamaramara area.

Such is her passion for tramping our bush-filled outdoors that she has held a range of Western Bay of Plenty voluntary positions for the NZ Mountain Safety Council since the mid 90s – including outdoor first aid and bushcraft instructor, and assessor roles – plus run her own local courses for women.

Anja’s aim is to give women the confidence to tramp and navigate the bush. The two day courses she offers cover:

Day 1: Basic Skills Theory
Clothing and footwear, trip planning, map reading/compass, risk management, dealing with river crossings, basic first aid etc…
Day 2: Putting it into Practice with a bush walk.
