Step by Step Chalk Pastel Flowers

How to use chalk pastels effectively to create beautiful art featuring flowers. In a relaxed, supportive setting participants will gain the necessary skills to create their own unique artwork featuring flowers. This workshop covers composition construction, drawing techniques, colour theory and chalk pastel application. Suitable for beginners right through to the artist who wants to extend their art practice.  All materials supplied.

Tutor: Jamie Harkins -Tauranga born artist Jamie Harkins (BMA)  exhibited frequently early in his career, predominantly working in Chalk pastel and Acrylic covering an array of themes. In 2014 he developed three dimensional  beach drawing (anamorphic) . Overnight this became an internet sensation, being featured by media outlets around the world.  In New Zealand his beach art was voted the most popular by the NZ herald. Subsequently he has done magazine covers, corporate artwork and has been invited to different art festivals in the middle east. Recently Jamie completed an exceptional successful art exhibition at Mt Maunganui depicting the areas street scenes at night.
