Science for Curious Citizens

A day of inspiration, information and networking for anyone with an interest in Science.

Curious Citizens is the theme of this year’s symposium organised by House of Science whose vision it is to raise scientific literacy in the community.

There is a great line-up of prominent New Zealand scientists who will inspire delegates in keynote addresses, seminars and workshops.

Speakers include: “Bugman” Ruud Kleinpaste, underwater videographer Steve Hathaway, microbiologist Siouxsie Wiles and the ‘Queen of Curiosity’, Victoria Metcalf.

There will be 3 keynote sessions as well as 3 seminar slots with a choice of 4 different presentations.  There will also be an extended opportunity to try a variety of hands-on activities related to novel science projects.

Cost:  $90 until September 30th, after which it’s $110. Cost includes all meals.
