Blue Heaven: Indigo Dye & Shibori

Produce unique patterns with this ancient art

A  two day workshop in which you will learn and share Liz’s passion for the ancient art of indigo dyeing and shibori.
Shibori is a Japanese word denoting resist dyeing using a variety of techniques including stitching, clamping and binding to produce unique  patterns of blue on plain cotton or silk fabric.
You will take home some samples of various fabrics which you have prepared and dyed and which can be used for cushions, bags, wall hangings, book covers etc.  Also, your own unique scarf.

Class fee includes a variety of weights of cotton and silk fabric, silk scarf, dye, instruction & information sheets, coffee and tea.

Come with an open mind and be prepared to explore, experiment, and discover the serendipity of this addictive process of dyeing.

When you book, you will be sent a short equipment to bring list.
